Privacy Policy
We aim to make the privacy choices around Upmoviez understandable. You can read public articles without creating an account, and we explain what may be processed when you browse, contact us or use third-party services.
Privacy at a glance
- Reading is public: you do not need to register, sign in or provide your name or email address just to read public reviews and news articles.
- No reader profile is required: Upmoviez does not operate a mandatory reader sign-up process for public posts.
- Contact is optional: when you email us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to respond or review the matter.
- Technical processing can still occur: hosting, security and website technologies may process basic request information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page and time of access.
- Advertising may involve third parties: if Google AdSense or other advertising services are activated, their technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers as explained below.
This policy is meant to describe the site’s general practices in plain language. Technical services and applicable rules can change, so we may update the page when the actual configuration changes.
What information may be processed?
Information you choose to send
If you email Upmoviez, we receive the sender address, message content and any attachment or other information you decide to include. Please send only details relevant to your request. We do not need passwords, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive personal information to answer normal editorial questions. Contacting us is voluntary and is not required to browse articles.
Basic technical and security information
When a website is loaded, the hosting provider, server, security tools or content-delivery services may process technical request records. Depending on the service configuration, these can include the IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device user-agent, referrer, response status and security events. Such information can be used to deliver pages, detect abuse, troubleshoot failures and keep the site secure. The exact records and retention periods depend on the service providers and settings in use.
Public articles do not need account data
Upmoviez does not ask readers to create a profile, register or submit their identity to read a public post. There is no mandatory reader account for viewing reviews, release guides or entertainment news. This statement concerns access to public content; it does not mean that internet hosting can deliver a page without processing any technical request information.
Comments, feedback and correspondence
Where a comment feature is enabled or displayed on an article, information entered into it may be stored to display the message, prevent abuse and administer the discussion. Depending on how WordPress and related services are configured, comment systems can process a display name, message, email address, IP address or browser information. We do not require comments in order to view an article. Do not submit private information in a public comment.
Messages sent to our editorial email address are used to understand the enquiry, provide a reply, investigate a correction or copyright report, and keep a proportionate record of the exchange. We may retain correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the matter, prevent repeated abuse or document decisions. Please see our Contact Us page for the appropriate route for each kind of enquiry.
Cookies, browser storage and website operation
Cookies are small files that a website or an embedded service may store in a browser. WordPress may use technical cookies for administrative sessions, login-related features, comments or other functions where those features are enabled. Public readers do not need to log in to view articles. Browser settings can usually block or clear cookies, although blocking certain necessary cookies may affect a feature or the operation of a third-party service.
Some hosting, security, performance or embedded services may use similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels or web beacons. The technologies actually used depend on which services are active. We aim to keep the site’s functionality and third-party integrations limited to what is reasonably useful.
Third-party advertising disclosures
Upmoviez may display advertising and may apply to use Google AdSense or another advertising service. If and when ads are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google where applicable, may place or read cookies in a browser, use web beacons or similar technologies, or process IP addresses and advertising identifiers to deliver, limit, measure or personalise advertisements in accordance with their settings and applicable rules. The advertising provider may receive information about the browser’s request and interaction with an ad. The provider’s own privacy terms govern its independent processing.
Google explains its use of data when partners use Google services at How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps. More information about AdSense cookies is available in Google’s AdSense cookie information. Visitors can review available advertising controls at Google Ads Settings.
Advertising services are not required to read public Upmoviez articles. If we activate advertising, the privacy disclosures and consent mechanisms will need to reflect the live setup and applicable rules. For personalised ads in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google states that publishers must use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. See the Google publisher consent requirements for current details.
Analytics and websites we do not control
If analytics or performance measurement tools are activated on Upmoviez, they may process usage events and technical identifiers to help understand which pages load, whether errors occur and how the site performs. The tools in use and the information they receive should be assessed against the current site configuration; this policy should be updated if new tools or purposes are introduced. We do not use this policy to claim that a particular analytics provider is active when that has not been confirmed.
Articles may link to external websites, studios, distributors, platforms, social networks or other sources. When you follow an external link, the destination site operates under its own policies and terms. Upmoviez does not control the data practices, availability or security of external websites.
How information may be used or shared
Information sent directly to us may be used to answer the message, check a factual correction, review a copyright concern, protect the website or meet a legal obligation. Technical records may be handled by infrastructure or security providers that help run the website. If advertising or analytics vendors are activated, the relevant information may be processed by those providers under their own terms.
We do not sell reader email addresses or personal messages as a product. We do not require a reader profile to build a list of registered visitors. We may disclose relevant information where reasonably necessary to respond to a lawful request, protect the rights and security of the site or investigate abuse, subject to applicable law. If the website changes ownership or its services change, information may be handled as allowed by law and this policy will be reviewed.
How long is information kept?
We aim to keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, keep an appropriate editorial or legal record, resolve disputes and protect the service. Technical log retention is affected by the hosting, security or performance provider and its configuration. There is no single retention period that can accurately describe every provider or type of record, so provider-specific practices may apply.
No website or email channel can be guaranteed completely secure. We aim to use reasonable administrative and technical measures, restrict access to information needed for site operation and avoid asking for unnecessary details. You should not email passwords, financial credentials or other highly sensitive information.
Privacy questions and choices
You may choose not to contact us and still read public posts. You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, use the controls offered by an advertising provider. Some services may offer additional privacy or opt-out controls subject to location and the provider’s terms.
For a question about a message you sent or a privacy request, email [email protected] and describe the request without sending unnecessary identity documents. We may need enough information to locate the relevant correspondence and may not be able to comply with every request in every circumstance. Applicable rights depend on the laws governing the particular situation.
Children and policy updates
Upmoviez is an entertainment publication for a general audience and does not require registration to read public articles. We do not intentionally request personal information from children through a sign-up process. Guardians who believe a child has sent us unnecessary personal information can contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
We may update this policy if website functionality, advertising, hosting or legal requirements change. The date at the top indicates when the page was last revised. Continued use of the website after an update should not be treated as a substitute for consent where consent is legally required. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
